Red Purple Sapphire unheated, heart cut, 1.79 ct
Very particular specimen of untreated corundum, with an unusual point of red in which the purple component predominates and places the gem outside the boundaries that would identify it as Ruby. The gem has two rarity features: it is not treated even with the common heating and presents a slight change of color if subjected to hot or cold light: from a more intense fuchsia red to a purplish purple. The beautiful heart cut with soft lines gives the gem charm and personality.
